What is an intensive?

An intensive therapy session is a concentrated and extended form of therapy designed to achieve faster and more profound results. Unlike traditional weekly therapy sessions that typically last an hour, intensives are longer sessions that may span several hours in one sitting or occur over multiple consecutive days.

In traditional therapy, the one-hour-a-week format often includes Wind-Up Time (10-15+ minutes): Catching up on what happened during the week. Wind-Down Time (10-15+ minutes).

This structure leaves only about 40 minutes for the core of the session.
